In August 1978, Allan and Sue Hollyock started a Baptist fellowship at their home in Kings Langley. This community received accreditation in 1982 by the Australian Baptist Association & became ‘Kings Langley Baptist Church,’ which met at the local public school.
Nearby in Quakers Hill, a satellite branch of the church began meeting in 1987. Both bodies were overseen by Bob Stock and followed the same teaching programs.
Kings Langley Baptist was merged with Doonside Baptist in 1989, but each retained their locations. For six years, the three separate locations operated under the direction of the same leaders as one church. A new name was adopted for these bodies:
‘Westview’ – A Vision for the West.
In 2005 it was decided that all congregants would meet at the Doonside location, an arrangement which continues today.
